VIII.    New Business
      Guest Speakers – Jamie Brown, Director – Public Works; Brian Shields, Director/City Engineer – Water Utilities
o      Brian – explanation of Water updates and dept. work, some important updates to pumping stations done and being watched for continued acceptable data levels, SPPNA brought up further concerns about sewage smells since the updates were made and the need for possible individual and general updates to an old system, Cheryl requested possibility of meeting with some of the neighborhood on the issue as a way to get SPPNA involved then being able to take the issue to the Commissioners for resolution, they will continue monitoring and passing reports to SPPNA, Brian can be contacted through the city
o      Jamie – explanation of Public Works and current projects, question from SPPNA as to timing of 15th Ave work completion and why resurfacing 14th Ave between Palmway & Lakeside, Jamie will get answers to Cheryl, per Jamie recycling is collected and recycled despite the rumors, Jamie will get answers regarding recycling to us, Lakeside flooding brought up and should be addressed based on the current upgrade projects, still concerns about flooding with rain outside of King Tide, if not drained within 2 hours notify the city, trash concern being sited at places like 1402 S Federal, road issue on Federal Hwy can be reported to Public Works who will notify the State, can also handle lighting and irrigation issues in median, contact info – w 561-586-1720 or c 561-719-4280, jbrown@lakeworthbeachfl.gov, 1749 3rd Ave S

o      Second celebrity chef moving in to the neighborhood!

South Palm Park & Pineapple Beach – Jan 25th 3-5pm, 15th Ave S. & Federal
Will be accompanied by the Mayor, Captain Baer & mounted Sheriffs – join if possible!
      Commissioner notes – 25th Andy Amoroso meeting at the Casino 7pm and 27th meeting to encourage private investors, question regarding CRA rezoning

      Garlic Festival – Feb 9, John Prince Park, NAPC should have tent
      Street Painting Festival – Feb 22/23
      Midnight Sun Festival – Feb 28 – Mar 1
      Great Taste of Lake Worth Beach – Mar 6, need volunteers, plan to sell 350 tickets
      St Patrick’s Day Parade – Mar 15, 1pm, volunteers welcome
