Many changes and new programs.
Questions asked regarding what is
allowed to plant in the medians and how to remove an existing stump. Directed to call Lauren, they will help.
Parks and Recreation News –
New programs – Youth Football,
Kids Day at Sunset Ridge Park (including Archery Tag)
Survey for the public, need more
ideas of what the public wants, link emailed from Cheryl – email address is no
longer required
Thank you for benches installed!
Concerns brought up as to extreme
cutting back of median plants, bad sprinklers, need upgrade and better upkeep –
Lauren will check on these things with Public Works.
Public access points (Pocket
Parks) are also a problem.
New signs coming for dog curbing.
Suggestion for petition by Cheryl, she will draft a petition if it is wanted.
Inquiry about dog park – nothing
in the works at this time.
Rec2Go – starting next week Wed South Palm Park 6:30pm for adults
and kids. Advertising is an issue
– in newsletter and social media.
Fliers to local schools, LW Herald and some yard signs. Suggestion that some children go to
schools outside LW.
Question about pool activities if
the pool opens. It is under the
Leisure Services division.
Recreation Advisory Board, 1 seat
open, meets every other month, very hands on.
Cheryl can provide email address
for Lauren.
● Discussion Items –
50/50 Raffle – Total $86, $43 was won by Richard Guercio who donated it back to
SPPNA

NAPC theme confirmed “As Seen On
TV” and theme will be sent via secret email
for SPP
Congrats to Herman – he has our
old boat!

Budget will be deferred until
boat base is investigated.
Natalie is planning an after race
party!

will affect the Casino and Road Program to be discussed.
