Home/Yard of the Month – Jim Durbin chair, Theresa

● Will continue and use new
method for selection - street selection by Secretary from jar to pick a block and
a back-up block for consideration, then block captain for the primary block
will choose house for Home/Yard of the Month and if necessary move to the
back-up block and captain for the selection

and 1500 as back-up

underway
o House next to Linda sold and may
be divided into multiple dwelling
o New speed bumps on Lakeside painted
but still too high – Cheryl will let Phillip know they will have damage repairs
if nothing done
o 3 new neighbors on 1300 block
o Car burglaries and stolen bike
o Task Force discussion – more
prostitution and drug deal concerns and complaints to be made, 14th and
Federal is now Goodwill
o 2 houses north of 10 to be
foreclosed
o Termite tenting at Shari’s house
o High tides and garbage in park –

o Marcia needs 2 liter bottles for
science project!

● Guest Speaker – Donald Dougherty, Code Enforcement, Oct General Meeting, need
Nov guest, Alexis Rosenberg, Community Sustainability, Dec General Meeting
o Need new block directors for 14th
and 5th (new members on 500 block – Lee and Charlie Phillips may be
interested, will also put out fliers to those blocks for interest), same for 1400
block)
o Wednesday City Meeting – discuss
800 block historic issue – plans to Cheryl
o Goodwill problems discussed –
Cheryl will look at this
o Trees in median – need to call
the horticulturist to discuss
o Road report from Linda – no work
on sewer lines, issues coming from Lantana, Linda is following up, suggestion
to talk to Herman, health issue brought up with NAPC and Commissioner but going
nowhere
o Holiday meeting – 1 drink per
person
o Use website for Code to review historical
property issues
o ADUs discussed – rentals popping
up
o APA – we are one of 6 finalists
for great places in FL! Voting is
open, will share.
