● Movie Night – Saturday, Mar 9

● Spring Fling, Full Moon Social, Kid’s Movie Night – Discussion to combine these events, will be held Saturday, April 20th

Communications – Ted Johnson ‘Director at Large’
● Newsletter: Chris Diserio
2nd draft will be emailed out to the Directors as 1st draft was not received by all
Request for articles for neighborhood and city events
Will contain email options for submitting email addresses
Suggestion to use paid ads for businesses owned by neighborhood members
Treasurer will share email list with Secretary based on received new members
Home/Yard of the Month – Jim Durbin chair, Theresa Deveaux, and Art Broughton
● 1202 South Palmway chosen for March 2019
● 1331 South Lakeside suggested for next month
Block Director Updates
● General information about homes being sold, new neighbors and deaths discussed
● Of note:
New Historic District signs discussed
Median upkeep still an issue – complaints have been taken to the City Manager and Public Works
Park issues discussed including drug deals and parked car seen – need to bring up cameras at Crime Meeting since there are none in operation now
Don Mason charity donation still to be done
Gene Nussbaum passed
VIII. New Business
● Guest Speaker – Yolanda Robinson, March General Meeting
Potential new speaker from Public Works suggested
Dog Park - Sign that disallows dogs is coming down, suggestion for replacement sign to not allow dogs off leash
IX. Good of the order
● Downtown Block Party
We host Mar 8
Linda will work and needs help
Popcorn will be sold $1 per bag and proceeds split 3 ways with other neighborhoods participating
● Raft Race
NAPC chose theme “As Seen On TV”
Suggestion to incorporate the Chia Pet as our neighborhood theme accepted
A committee chair is needed for this effort
Prior raft is in Chip’s warehouse needs redesign
Greg, Tom, Lucio will be helping
● St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Mar 17 afternoon
No float but neighborhood can join in the parade
NAPC is taking this function on next year
Ted will announce on FB and send email
